My Story

Hello, my name is Stefanija, and among the many roles I play in life, my favorite is that of a Bread Maker.

As a third-generation baker, baking felt like second nature to me the moment I created my 1st dough. My passion for baking began early in my childhood. I fondly remember assisting my mother in the kitchen, or rather, being allowed to play with the hand mixer and dough while she was effortlessly making something savory and delicious. Those moments filled our home with warmth and joy, as the sweet aroma of freshly baked goods danced through the air. Despite living on the other side of the world in Macedonia, my mum continues to be a guiding force, sharing her extensive baking knowledge with me and inspiring me to create my own culinary masterpieces.

This rich baking heritage originates from my grandfather, Dedo Jovan Stojanovski, a renowned baker in Bitola, Macedonia.
He passed down his skills and baking knowledge to my grandmother, who then passed them on to my mother and her sisters. My mother, Violeta Korun, a lifelong Baker Chef, has mastered everything from artisan breads to elite cakes and diverse cultural dishes. Her culinary creations have delighted many food enthusiasts. You can explore her work on Instagram (@korunskitchen) and Facebook, where she inspires many Macedonian housewives.

I moved to the United States at 17 for my education and earned a degree in biology. Now, I work in pharmaceutical and clinical research development as a Source Builder, contributing to humanity in my own way. However, baking has always held a special place in my heart, and in my mid-twenties, I truly began to refine my skills. Ever since baking re-entered my life I have been passionately creating baked goods. Eventually, I led myself to believe these beautiful creations and collection of stories, recipes deserve to be further shared and preserved in the digital world. After all, we have been sharing knowledge through narration for as long as we have been around which is why these recipes are so very special. These recipes have been passed down from generations to cultures, serving as a beautiful reminder that the fabrics of the universe are so interconnected within us and outside of us.

My goal with this baking page is to spread the knowledge I have acquired from my mother. I believe that with the right tools and a little determination, anyone can create these recipes at home with joy and ease. My recipes are designed to be affordable and accessible, bringing the joy of baking to everyone.

A fun fact about my family: My grandfather could knit with both hands simultaneously at the age of 17! I aspire to achieve that level of skill in my baking.

My favorite kitchen rule is: if you’re going to get your kitchen dirty, you might as well bake a few things!

So then what do you say? Let's create something delicious together!
